I have seen that part of the problem of keeping promises in this country is a result of a change of presidents. As an example, if Trump becomes president which appears likely at this time, Ukraine could easily see are country cannot be relied on for its help in supporting democracy. And countries all over the world will not see the U.S. as a country who can relied on to support Mother Earth and its environmental concerns as well. All this will change as it did between 2016-2020. We withdrew from the Paris climate accords and we abandoned NATO. The same can be said for the Reagan years when the U.S. was understandably unbelievably weak in its support for truth. The Contra-Sandinista affair and our support of dictatorship around the world became a huge mistake and resulted in the same type of mistrust that is mentioned below….
I really hate to talk the way I am fixing to. I wish it wasn't the way it was. There are soooooo many dead people who helped America. What I seen in the military back in 2000 abouts... We have really been doing bad things everywhere. For a really long time. It isn't propaganda. Everyone from other countries that I have seen ABSOLUTELY HATE US. Especially Latin America. I mean hate us bad. There is a reason for it. It is because the us leaves a whole lot of empty promises lying around and then throw death at them. Seriously selling drugs and guns and war across the globe. Deceitful leaders. NOT MY LEADERS. I wish I could speak to one of their people. Go right past the BS government...whichever one it is cause they are all in it together looks like.
The article below sheds further light on this issue.

I can also understand the sentiments of this persons support of a maverick on the political scene….although I am not entirely sure how RFK will deal with our promises made by other presidents in their tenure. In the U.S. political leaders are not guaranteed permanent employment. And some of them made promises to end wars like Trump, who never honored his promises while others botched their promises with messy withdrawals; Nixon, Reagan and Biden.
I think the film The Covenant, which was a beautiful movie, gives a pretty good illustration. But it isn't hard to find such an example where the USA is accused of abandoning "allies." I often wonder if we were ever their allies to begin with, or if we were there to support our own interest. I am referring to any such promise of friendship with another nation. All of this is in regards to Still Standings comment. I agree with Jeff. In my eyes, Joe Biden is an illegitimate president protected by special interest and is not my leader. And those special interest have just about used him to the point where they too can abandon his protection. I don't have it figured out, this is just a laymans point of view. I think this feeling of, "not my leader" and "not an accurate representation of the will of the people" has long presided over many of us living here in the US. All the more reason I stand with RFK JR and many Spiritual Leaders before him-
We must first resolve to make peace in our home, rather than inflict our will upon others.
No one nation is perfect, I do not make these comments without recognizing the great strides this nation has made. At the same time, I do not pretend this nation is free from abuse of power, decadence or deceit.
I hope you enjoy the song! It really is an amazing song, and if you get to see the movie, an added bonus! OF COURSE, to each their own.
RESPECTFULLY~

Although we are obviously 🙄 not consistent in the U.S. we also know the consequences of nations who have despotic leaders who are. Let us take as an example; Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. These are leaders Donald Trump has praised. Do we want to take that course of action in our case?
