We often find ourselves going through various periods in our lives, when at times our spiritual aspirations are very strong. At other times they are weakened by environmental contingencies and planetary movements as well as many other factors. Yet we do eventually recognize that outer circumstances that are frustrating or unfulfilling are quite often reminders that our inner spiritual aspirations still have quite a way to go yet. For instance we may find ourselves trying to fulfill cravings like sex, alcohol or food when in reality we have an inner desire for spiritual awakening and our soul may settle on temporary pleasures to fulfill such longings.
