Hi Steve,

I thought you might find this helpful with regards to explaining the high number of traffic your forum gets. I once speculated them to be bots but hadn't much of a thorough explanation for you.

I would like to encourage our members here to remember what's out *there* the drama being perpetuated in virtual reality is not REALITY.

We mustn't let the polarizing nature of narratives distract us from finding true peace within ourselves and sharing that light with others.

What if all of our online existence is fake?

You, me, everyone; we're living in a real-life Matrix. Designed to distract us from the truth: that we're just drones in a digital ant-hill. We live, work and die so that the wealthy and powerful can grow more wealthy and powerful.

This is called the Dead Internet Theory. And there's compelling evidence that it's real.

Let's find out why.

I wont quote a post since it will be misconstrued as taken out of context.

I have worked with web servers for over 22 years, high traffic, government, etc., The traffic this site displays is a number that is based on a "hit". But how does this specific software determine what a hit is, as there are many different methods used to figure it out. I highly doubt this forum software uses complex modern algorithms to figure it out. Do you count an IP address twice if it hits x number of times within x number of minutes? Do you count an IP address if it is obviously hitting links on the site in consecutive order as they are displayed from top to bottom? etc.

Example, we sometimes get over 50,000 hits a month. But we only have a few sites, and they are small, and we have logging that tracks actual payments, user names, etc. So we have a good idea what the traffic is.

Less than 2-3000 of the hits are legit. Many come from IP addresses in different countries (yes India especially you), and many are web indexers, snoopers or bots, that constantly batter the web server even as I type. The best we can do is secure code. We could set up IP range blocking but that takes monthly IP database updates to keep up with new IP's. It's gotten exponentially worse over the years as script kiddies mutliply like rabbits.

I've been there. The hits displayed on this site are guaranteed overly inflated. Way way over.

It turns out a lot of influencers are being followed by fake accounts.

At a certain point, it isn't running away from worldly affairs as much as it is rejecting the constant bombardment of intentionally misleading information.

Reese noted that Google in 2022 had used his special reports to train its AI to spot “fake news,” but this fake reporting takes AI to another level.

“I was flattered when Google was using my videos as a way to train people how to spot ‘fake news’ but this is not flattering. It is frightening,” Reese said.

“Soon people will not know what to trust any longer and will be demanding a solution from big government. Which will most certainly be more control and authoritarianism.”

An eerie incident also happened to Infowars founder Alex Jones in May when a Canadian YouTube prankster called him on the phone pretending to be Tucker Carlson using artificial intelligence to mimic the former Fox News host’s voice.

The dead internet theory has me questioning so much now I don't know what's what... So I don't even bother with news anymore.

It's unfortunate because basically our information highway aka the internet has been hijacked by gatekeepers who have the platforms and the speed to maintain total control of what the majority has access to.

For example, I only learned about the dutch farmer protest through limited media and through independent sources.

Now I am learning of the racial war in South Africa against white farmers. It's reached genocidal levels- with hatred for white people. But I haven't heard a thing about it from major news platforms. In fact, those platforms online say it's a myth. But my dental assistant is from South Africa, and she is white, and said she had to flee the country because it's gotten increasingly violent and racist.

So, is the video of the man jumping around in a stadium with thousands of black africans encouraging the death of white africans real? I don't trust fact checkers. Fact checkers said mrna injections were safe and effective.

They also said the virus came from the wet market.

Another thing I've noticed... There's a lot of counter-intelligence in social media. There are real people, and fake people- all working for the purpose of inciting emotional reaction and promoting racism. None of which is actually happening in my life outside the internet. But mostly they are pushing really hard for this weird christian vs jewish here in the US. And sadly, good people are falling victim to this polarization and hatred. They've let the internet of things hijack their lease on life. There are also theatrics in both "left" and "right" meant to draw emotional reaction. Both sides attacking the other, attacking their own groups even and blaming the other. I've read one of the intended goals is to spark a race war. But it could be an anything war with all these identify politics we've erected. LGBTQ, Antisemitism, BLM, Antifa, MAGA, Anti-Whatever. And so on and so on... 

I believe whats online, 80% of the content is curated and an illusion- tons of fake accounts all working for the same people.

A man created AI chat bots to argue with each other. They accrued followers, and subsequent comments were also fake. Not all, but some hateful ideas are thrown in there and the bots raise these comments to the top as the most viewed. Speed and control...

So now we have real people spreading fake news, and fake news posing as real news. And the people who want to control it are covering up some of the biggest lies out there.

You really can't trust anything out there... These counter-intelligence programs have really accelerated tenfold. "Information Wars" has never had such a prophetic title.

It's all dead internet...

What's worse? Real action against sovereignty is being introduced as a consequence of the propaganda and illusion infecting our people. Our own leaders partake in these psychological warfare operations. The fake-ness is attempting every day to infiltrate reality, and some days it looks like its really winning.

Thank God I can trust the people here at the Portal... Forums for the most part are pretty safe. Major places though like Reddit or Quara... Be weary. Twitter and GAB are full blown unrestricted warfare...

I feel fortunate that I can discern most comments, as most comments that are intentionally inflammatory mark a lack of intelligence and are not an accurate representation of reality. Trolls and teenagers do not rule the world.

The analogy must be like people who become total ignoramus behind the steering wheel. I've seen decent people act worse than animals when they are behind the wheel.

Hmmm, my consciousness is more focused on dimensions of reality, a topic you have often mentioned. However I will give you credit for something above that I find admirable, it appears to be your own ideas you have weaved together from your previous thoughts and ideas of others. As you probably know by now this whole reality is an illusion made to look real by its creator. So why wouldn’t there be sub plots created by the actors themselves attempting to emulate the original creators hand in their own projects?

It may be of interest to you that Apocalypse Now was acted out by Marlon Brando.  Francis Ford Coppola  was the director but failed to get Brando to act the script. Brando wanted to create his own parts as the film unfolded. And at some point Coppola appeared to let the actors act their own part and told the filmmakers to keep the film 🎥 rolling even when they got Martin Sheen drunk and he acted out being mad spontaneously. Sometimes I think that our creator has done the same thing. We have our scripts, but he allows us to act out are parts as we see fit, since we don’t always find much pleasure in acting out the role our creator has designed for us.

Andrew Torba, founder and CEO of Gab, creates AI chatbots to exemplify how real and how easy it is to create 'bots' that are designed to troll people in the comments. Imagine this kind of technology used as a weapon for political power, for policy reform- etc. And this is what has been going on in YT, Twitter, even in the days of FB. I'm confident there are people in our government aware, and there are people who are employed by entities foreign and domestic to project a narrative to others- for propaganda among other things. Imagine you're an influential organization that has the ability to degrade our constitution because of the rise of hate speech. How much of the hate speech is real?(no doubt a percentage is real) And how much is created, kept alive- by the very powers looking to restrict freedoms and impose their will on others? The same entities that say are fighting something, could be the very ones perpetuating the illusion online.

When ChatGPT first came out, we immediately noticed its biases in its programming. Why is this dangerous? Because as we continue to advance as a society, we utilize the monopolized interest- like googles search function, which has the ability to produce the results it wants- omitting certain information, altering others, and eventually we don't know the wiser. We're presently in the business of tearing down statues and altering history.

It's good you have companies who advocate for freespeech building competing systems, because the AI as it relates to commercial use, is not yet at the level where it can work around any ill intentions programmed into it.
