Exactly, the Hindu philosophy clearly states that the universe is a simulation, that is something which seems real but actually is not. it' a cosmic game.

The concept of the universe as a simulation is presently being discussed in the scientific circles. An undetermined entity (corresponding to God in the Hindu philosophy) has created a computer simulation in which we are living. Researchers are exploring the details of such a model.

Even more interesting and maybe daunting, is the possibility that we are living in a simulation within a simulation, a universe created by a superior causal being who has the abilities to create and destroy universe.

So in a sense we are like AI on earth considering their creator. It is doubtful that we, unlike a causal entity could create universes or sentient consciousness as perhaps a causal being could.
