This thread describes some of the repressive actions that have been taken by XI Jinping against for instance meditation in China.

Last week the CCP and the State Council published a joint opinion on legal education. The document calls on state institutions to “persist in following Xi Jinping Thought” on the rule of law and that schools should “oppose and resist western erroneous views” such as “constitutional government” and “independence of the judiciary”.

Some analysts expect the opinion to be formalised in some way at the NPC. (National People’s Congress) The language in the opinion echoes that of the “Two Establishes” and the “Two Safeguards”, CCP slogans that establish Xi and his ideology as the “core” of the party. The “Two Safeguards” were added to the party charter in 2022.

The NPC is also due to consider amendments to the legislative process. One of the proposals is to allow laws to be passed on an “emergency” basis. Changhao Wei, a ​​research fellow at the Paul Tsai China Center, said the provision “should be a cause for concern to those who value legislative openness and predictability, for the draft doesn’t define ‘emergency’ or tie it to existing emergency response mechanisms, so the legislature has complete discretion to decide whether an emergency exists.”

From a purely spiritual point of view, we should recognize what this means. I remember as a child always bing taught a Christian view of history with no mention of eastern ideas and thought. Now we have some much more dangerous, that is an antagonistic view of not only Christianity but all religions which is changing spiritual authority with that of the state and all the power of spiritual authority is being transferred to a man and his minions. The results of this can only be seen as demonic.

No SI the Chinese Communists are DEAD. Those who struggle for the truth are still alive spiritually.

When human beings choose to ignore the atrocities committed by evil people they allow such behavior to continue and thus are part of the problem and not the solution. Meditation is a way to find and express truth and enlightenment. When the practice is denied, those who do so are evil and must be condemned for such behavior. To allow such acts of cruelty to civilians continue is to support Adharma…. Adharma is a Sanskrit word which means “what goes against dharma” or, more literally, “not-dharma.” This has connotations of wrong, evil, immorality and vice. It can also be translated as chaos, disorder and disharmony.

Falun Gong is a spiritual group based around meditation that China banned 20 years ago after 10,000 members appeared at the central leadership compound in Beijing in silent protest.

Thousands of members have since been jailed.

The China Tribunal said it had clear evidence of forced organ harvesting. "Organ trafficking is often overlooked in our sector but this heinous crime needs more attention and affects us all," said a spokesman for the Human Trafficking Foundation.

Jennifer Zeng, a Falun Gong practitioner who told the tribunal she had been given blood tests and medical checks while held in a detention camp, said she hoped the tribunal's findings would prompt action.

LOL, I think SI likes to play the part of the contrarian. Everything Steve says, SI gets a kick out of saying the opposite.

But I agree on a few things. Xi Jinping is one of the most astute and wily humans on earth. I wish our leaders had a little of his political abilities, barring of course his evident demonic traits, concealed in the disguise of a man looking like an inoffensive teddy bear.

And, China is probably the more ruthlessly efficient government and society in the world, barring the inevitable corruption and general disregard for individual necessities.

Yet, it remains a gigantic anthill. People are not humans, they are ants and are regarded as equally expendable. The queen ant, Xi Jinping, has the right over everything.
