Hi didi
welcome to forum.

HI steve & Into blue
Bibha singh is my sister

Prabhat sinha

Bibha singh and/or Prabhat sinha

i wonder about the use of the word pronom which i have used for greeting others. Can you tell me anything about this word; it's exact spelling, meaning language derivation etc. i find that India's languages often offer more of a spiritual approach to reality. Seeing thru this lense often manifests higher thoughts and consciousness. Westerners like to integrate some of these terms into our language.

Sincerely,

Steve

Hi Steve,

How are u ? In India, when you respect a person or in context of yr elders, one bows before them and says "Pranam". Personally I feel, we bow before the almighty who resides in all of us.

with love,
Bibha

Sorry i seem to have gotten the spelling wrong. It seems to be spelled with two a's instead of o's. Something interests me very strongly about Amma. She has brought India to us whereas in many ways Paramahansa Yogananda has adapted to the west. We can see this by going to services and the Convocation here in Los Angeles. It is all very 'stuffy' and uncomfortable with all the suits and ties and mostly men speaking. i have asked Monks  about this but the answers seem to only bring up more questions. i wonder if it is that way in India at SRF? Of course both organizations have their pluses and minuses for anyone going to them and we are blessed to have both organizations. It is always nice to have a place to meditate in quiet at SRF. Athough you can meditate in the presence of an avatar with Amma it is often hard to find quiet places accept in your own being.

Master taught us to be grateful in all conditions. i think this is important. Yet did he teach us to ignore the conditions around us and to ignore our souls questions?

Jai Guru Jai Ma
