Disclaimer: this video contains what some would call "vulgar" language. If that offends you, don't watch it.

This whole thing is just this guys shtick.

But I happen to agree with what he is saying.

Hey Si I wonder if delivery is part of the issue in speech? Not that anyone wants to censor a person but rather can I as a person deliver a message with kindness? Or will I be an expression of anger and frustration? Do you see my point here? People may deliver any message they choose and in any manner. What leads to a spiritual state of consciousness? That is my concern for myself and who I choose as friends and associates. I am not by any means saying I’m right. However I doubt that messages expressed with visible anger will lead to enlightenment. We can see enlightenment and feel it in a person experiencing even beginning stages of it in their art and creative expression. If we feel inspired to meditate and be kind to others we are promoting spiritual practice. If we listen to someone who appears about ready to have a stroke or heart attack it is not a recipe for spiritual evolution. Perhaps it may be for someone else. Let them go their own way and see if it works for them. I’m much more impressed by a person who can show peace and I can actually feel their peace and kindness.

So I have to constantly be observant in my own frustration and repressed anger. It affects my consciousness and meditative experiences. That’s the bottom line for me. I have set guidelines up for that kind of behavior for myself and others here as I have observed the guidelines at for instance a monastery I lived at for years. I have seen people not able to live by such guidelines because that has been me as well. I’m just attempting to be a better person in all my behavioral quirks and recognize many of my mistakes while attempting to correct them. When I see other people reforming themselves I’m also inspired to do the same.

I want to give an example here that I hope will illustrate my point. I used to go to Friday nite meditation at the Hollywood Temple. Every Friday nite the whole temple would almost fill up with people meditating for three hours. One nite as I was setting peaceful and actually felt the tranquility of meditation, someone entered the temple and ran down the aisle shouting; ‘ Jesus Saves…you need to be saved by Jesus.’ Well let me tell you all the peace I felt suddenly left me and I was startled 😱 and the rest of the meditation was quite disturbed. After that there was a guard posted at the doors so no one could enter during service accept during an hourly break when anyone could leave during devotional chanting. There had to be someone to monitor the chapel after that because of intruders who really were not accustomed to meditating and disrupted the whole service. Paramahansa Yogananda recommended ‘building a hedge around our peace’ to help it grow and so I’ve attempted to avoid loud, blatantly clamorous, and at times very disturbing 😳 energies.

Well first of all it's a shtick. So there's that.

Messages/communication could be soft n quiet, could be thunder. You choose how you let it affect you. If you need a soft voice to achieve enlightenment, that's OK.

This was perhaps you-know-who's biggest downfall. The delivery. But I look past that because to me, it's just somebody's expression. I could care less. I certainly dont appreciate when society tells me I should do or act or talk a certain way that pleases them.

Bruce Lee said something like, choiceless awareness, watch instead of judge, without demand or anxiety, this state of mind brings perception. (his quotes are often re-interpreted, just like I did somewhat. Just like scriptures and other quotes).

P.S. I did notice how nothing was mentioned about what the video was trying to say. Point made.

Really? Someone made a point? All I heard and felt were the vibrations of a hemorrhaging spouter off of the mouth with vulgarity and hostility. Any message was seriously eclipsed by anger. Could be thunder? More like a cyclone. No Master I ever have been exposed to has recommended being slammed over the head like a sledgehammer. It would only bring unconsciousness, not spiritual awareness.

This reminds me of when I used to live in Brooklyn.  Cheesy Grin
These were everyday attitudes of lots of people in the neighborhood, they grew up loud but truthful. This guy would probably have yelled at me with this same tone for stepping back in line at the deli, but he would also have helped me move a couch.
