Sometimes we may wonder if we made a closure in our speech that states our point of view. We may get words of guidance later that even tell us we have said everything we need to say the best we were able. I know sometimes people request us to keep answering them, or perhaps we wonder if we said everything we could say to make things clear. Sometimes though saying too much only deepens problems.

Thanks Steve.

I was called into work unexpectedly and asked to help a coworker I've been feeling negative energies from. After getting over my selfish mental resistance I decided to go into work and help for a couple hours. It was good. I remembered something you said here, my poor coworker has endured quite a bit. I realized she didn't really need me there to help do any of the work(there were two employees just as capable as doing what I did) but that my being there ended up being a big help.

Reading what you said here, before going in, I did not harp on too many wordy statements. I tried to say what I could when I could, trusting it was enough. She really needed to vent and open up, I believe she is feeling isolated and prior to tonight I believe she was unintentionally undermining and ignoring me.

Perhaps it was good for both of us. Now going into work and dealing with others, I pray to God for his protection and guidance. To say just enough or not to say anything if it calls for it... It's more important to practice speaking kindly than it is to prove a point. Eventually, it'll be possible to do both.

I believe for me, the most important thing I’ve learned about meditation and the spiritual path is not to react to the unkindness of others. But rather to be patient in our responses and act and speak with kindness. This little mouth of ours can cause forest fires 🔥 of devastation in our encounters with others, if we do not keep vigilance over our reactions. And meditation plus the gurus lessons, helps so much in watching and observing our thoughts and feelings; our reactions to the environment around us.
