Astronomers have discovered more than 200 distant variable stars known as RR Lyrae stars in the Milky Way's stellar halo. The most distant of these stars is more than a million light years from Earth, almost half the distance to our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda, which is about 2.5 million light years away.

This really puts us in perspective of how close we are here on this site even though not together physically. I really think that the longer and closer we share our lives; I’ve experienced the more we have similar experiences and similar insights. That has been my experiences with members floating in and out if this site over the years.

I found an illustration of the huge galactic halo of galaxies, also it's made up of invisible dark matter mainly, so the image cannot illustrate fully its extent.

That is really quite heavenly. Mccoy, we have a member here that has been very helpful to me recently. He also has been to Italy and has friends there. If he happens to message you, just want you to know he has been a wonderful friend to me and has many of the same interests as we both have expressed and practiced here at the portal.
