Venerable friends and families,

I convey my warmest greetings and earnest blessings to you during the year-end holidays. May your holidays be meaningful, joyful, and free from sugar overload. I pray that your hearts are full of gratitude and kindness despite the difficult times we have overcome this past year.

As holidays embrace us, surrounding our hearts with the warmth of familiar ambience, we often like to reflect and ruminate about making and keeping meaningful affirmations. Making the holidays uplifting is within your reach, through attemptable affirmations.

I pray that your holiday season will be a respite from drifting into living to work, a time to reflect on how to glow in the collective warmth of human fellowship with careful and prayerful people.

I find that giving and seeing my family smile puts me in a nice, warm and fuzzy place.

I believe it will only be up for a limited time and would like to add that I really enjoyed it. Meaningful affirmations are possible when you set achievable goals that better your self and others.

2nd oldest brothers' wife is jehovah witness. They don't celebrate xmas, birthday's, etc. In a way, that might be a good thing. I'm not into the birthday deal (my own) anyway, some must tell the world it's their bday and I guess want special stuff. Christmas seems like a 30 day expectation build up then when it comes....

How ever since Jesus was most likely not even born in December, we have quite a reason not to celebrate. This time of year, has been a pleasant time to celebrate because it gives us all something to take our minds off the most challenging weather this time of year.

I know about the astrological importance, but I can't accept that since man made up what a day is, based on how long it takes for the earth to complete 1 rotation, (actually how long is day to night and night to day), then how long it takes for the earth to complete 1 rotation around the sun, then tell me I'm x number of years old, doesn't calculate for me. Physical clocks do not prove time even exists. IMO. But I see the usefulness of it at least, too late to turn back now aint it.

I rather enjoyed the very cold weather, we were around 19 degrees, layer of ice for a few days. I know a guy who must have as perfect (to him) weather all the time, like for example La Jolla CA. But to me that's monotonous, I like rain, snow, ice, clouds, sun, all of it. For me the weather took my mind off this time of year for a bit.

Now that it’s all over for this year - Christmas and Paramahansa Yogananda’s Birthday - just wanted to say that I really miss all the long meditations I participated in, when living around SRFers. They always first had several hour meditations leading up to the all day meditations for the two Masters this time of year every year. Who knows I may be blessed to live near such groups again someday before I leave this mortal life.
