I'm standing in a vast desert landscape, the dunes stretching out for miles in all directions. The sun is setting, and the sky is painted in vivid oranges and pinks. Suddenly, the air is filled with a strange, eerie noise like a 13 year cicada. I look around and see hundreds of snakes, slithering and writhing across the sand. They come in all shapes and sizes, some with brightly coloured scales, others with eyes of gold. The sound they make is like a chorus of voices, harmonizing together in a strange and surreal way. I take a step forward, and the snakes part to make a path for me. They twist and turn around me, their movements almost choreographed. I feel like I'm in another world, as if I've stepped into a painting come to life.

The sun is setting, and the light begins to take on a strange, otherworldly quality. The air is alive with the sound of the snakes, their voices rising and falling in a strange, almost musical rhythm. I keep walking, the sound of the snakes growing louder with each step. The path flows around the desert, leading me ever onward. As I walk I can feel something strange and surreal in the air, a feeling I've never experienced before.

The path winds around and around, until eventually I reach the end. I turn to take one final look at the surreal scene. The snakes are gone, and the sun has set, leaving the desert in a peaceful, still silence. Then awake in bed.

The next night:

I'm lying in bed, trying to sleep, when suddenly I hear a strange sound coming from outside. It's a low, eerie hiss, like a chorus of voices in the night. I get up and go to the window, and I see a strange sight. Hundreds of snakes are slithering across the ground, their scales shimmering in the moonlight. I watch them as they move in unison, almost as if they were dancing. The sight is both beautiful and eerie, and I feel a strange sense of awe.

I go outside to get a closer look, and the snakes part to make a path for me. I walk slowly and carefully, not wanting to disturb them. The snakes seem to be communicating with each other, their voices weaving together in a strange, almost hypnotic way. I feel like I'm in another world, as if I'm dreaming with my eyes open.

The snakes continue their strange dance, and I watch until the sun begins to rise. The sky is black now, except for the stars and the edge of the rising sun, and the snakes disappear into the sand, leaving me.

Patrick you have never mentioned any of your dreams to me. What do you make of those two dreams? We have been talking about snakes in dreams recently. Do you think the stimulus created the dreams or are you of the opinion the dreams mean something more? It is rather curious that both of us had somewhat similar dreams recently.

Had a dream about a cobra living in our yard. The place was unfamiliar to me. It seemed I had a sister there who I was attempting to tell her about it. She seemed unconcerned. The driveway was steep and my bass guitar (which came up again upon awakening ) with its case slid down the driveway close to where I had seen the cobra. When looking at it, the snake retreated under the car. It came back to take a look at me and then left again. It did not appear threatening. There appeared to be caved areas in the drive that could have been where the creature lived.

Suddenly I was in the presence of what appeared to be a friend who explains to me ‘ the beauty of a cobra and that they would not harm you unless you got in their face and space.’ He gave a pucker of his lips, as if to kiss a cobra to illustrate his point. Sometimes it does seem to me that the closer you get in another persons space, the more you awaken the serpent in them, if indeed it is there. I was with a girl friend years ago that had a love for reptiles, which made me think that I am still being taught to have an appreciation for the beauty of all creatures and their message to us. Curiously, I woke up to hearing an additional part of a song I have been writing on the bass guitar called Scenic Trail.

Eric has found a connection takes place between friends that have dreams.

Patrick,

I love cicadas... And what a beautiful dream! So surreal. I see you really value your mental space/Inner Worlds.

I actually thought this was one of your AI produced writings, my apologies. Snakes are powerful symbols, also associated with kundalini.
