Nature is expansive and therefore has most always been a better places to meditate to expand consciousness. Houses usually hold the vibrations of restless householders.
Unless of course, you have a dedicated space in which you can transform the environment!

Yea that is what Paramahansa Yogananda recommends in a house; a room or corner dedicated to spiritual activity. However like any observation….Spirit has a way of taking us beyond our boxed in notions. So I recall for instance many times I’ve also had transcendental experiences indoors but they were usually with other devotees meditating, thus lifting the vibration of the room temporarily and while tuning in; being brought into a dimension quite apart from anything a room usually imparts.
