The following is a very interesting table, the colors explain the origin of each element.
For example, big bang fusion is only responsible for the formation of the first 3 elements: hydrogen, helium and Lithium.

Iron, copper, and zinc, are formed exclusively by explosions of large and small stars.

The heaviest elements like gold platinum  and uranium are formed by collisions of neutron stars.

Interestingly, the 2017 hypothesis has been revised, today it is believed that neutron star mergers are not so numerous to justify the amount of gold present in the universe. Until of course someone will eventually prove that such events are indeed sufficiently numerous. It's interesting to notice how the knowledge in astronomy is still very much in progress. This may suggest that something new will come out about the sun's dual whose existence has been propounded by Sri Yukteswar.

I couldn't insert the image since it's in an unallowed format, that's the revised table on the origin of cosmogenic elements
