When Death is confronting us and we are facing our final breaths- we don't feel the need to fight or squabble. I know we end up appreciating those who have even caused grief, and many wish they could express the love they felt in those final moments better with those who have been in their lives. People who lose loved ones have also felt bitter-sweet emotions, recognizing that the more challenging aspects of relationships have served as milestones for growth. Tapping into this realization helps us drop our own walls and try to be there in the face of a challenge- in many instances the one who recognizes this stops resisting. Instead they proactively engage. We can always try to respond with the Love that has brought about these realizations to begin with.
