I concur. I have witnessed many people committing fundamental attribution error. I can say that for certain when the error has been committed by others trying to wrongly construe the purpose of the actions I've carried out. It is an error of understanding and is often generated by overestimating one's skill to interpret the surrounding reality and the psyche of other people.
Or sometimes the error rises out of superficiality.
I’m quite grateful that you brought your own explanation into this mccoy. Because I’ve noticed the same thing about people misconstruing my intentions. However I believe that I often do it also by thinking people may have a more altruistic view of others. When in fact they have very materialistic and practical reasons for encouraging a relationship with me.
