It's a lot easier to say, "something's wrong with that person" than to try and understand them. You make a good point about the earth being flat, and what about those who claim they've witnessed not just UFO's but an ET and spoke with it telepathically? At one point in time society scoffed and mocked such people, often calling them delusional. I wonder how you would feel when you know what you experienced was real, and the whole world tried to tell you otherwise? To think about this in context, it makes sense why aggression may arise. It would appear some leaders of a society(duly appointed or not)would rather force their version of reality on others and attack individuals who challenge the basic understanding a society more or less agrees upon as "truth." Such individuals are persecuted, sometimes violently, and are forced into submission by authorities at that time. I understand the rage or depression, especially when most of society doesn't realize how horrendously mislead they've been. Imagine having a mind-blowing truth and being constantly abused for it. Wow.
