Trump: 'May they rot in Hell. Merry Christmas'
Former President Trump in an unusual Christmas message on Truth Social called for various people he sees as “looking to destroy” the nation to “rot in Hell.” ~AppleNews

The challenge remains Eric. Ofcourse we can have differences of opinion. Is that really the point when felony charges could land Fuhrer Trump in jail for the rest of his life? Or that MAGA people shout ‘throw her in jail’ and truly want Clinton in jail? To have an opinion the world is flat doesn’t really hurt anyone except oneself, and perhaps 🤔 NASA funding. But to tell others they do not have the right to be in office in a free country where they were elected to that position is quite another. To be able to go to a public place of talking about political differences is one thing, but to charge someone with crimes because you expressed a differing opinion is quite another. Do you see?

We both can have our opinions here and not get hung up on those opinions. But if someone decides they are going to break into a building because of those opinions, we are now talking about something more than an opinion. If someone has an opinion they don’t like their governor which happened here in Michigan, they have a right to express it but they took it a step further and a attempted to kidnap her and made threats known to kill her. Yes we can comfortably sit in the comfort of our own house and express differences. We can even express our own opinions here on the portal. We are fortunate to still be able to do that. Although you and I probably do not want to be in prison, poisoned, intimidated and threatened for our opinions, which is taking place in Russia today. And there are people who admire such governments and their leaders right here in this country.

Some of us have concerns about that and seeing those around us suffering because there are those that simply do not care about the views of others. In fact to the extent they are ok putting them out of their country… either poisoning them, have someone push them out the window, throw them off a balcony or just murdering them. I truly feel it is a valuable ‘spiritual quality’ to have such concerns. For people forcing others in jail and to needlessly suffer, it is a matter of being right at any cost. And they are scheming and planning to take down anyone who disagrees. You personally may not feel that way, but if you supported others that want to shut me up and imprison me how should I support you in friendship? Would I be able to rely on you when I sat in prison at the evil intents of such people ? Should I see you as a true friend if you support such people who truly want me imprisoned or out a job?

This may not be an issue to get emotional or hung up on. I may have no ego in the matter. Perhaps I do not . Perhaps Jesus had no ego in the matter of other people nailing him on a cross to die. That is really not the issue here. The issue is do we accept others who are willing to engage in such violence? And what have I done when such means are taken against those around me? Nothing? Am I absolved of all responsibility for not responding?

I think we seriously have to question whether we want to be represented by people who have behaviors like this;

Most global political, spiritual and national leaders mark Christmas with a plea for peace, or by stressing the virtues of family and unity.
That’s not Donald Trump’s style.
The ex-president unleashed an online torrent of fury and bitterness, largely over his legal plights, spanning Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, previewing the discord and personal obsessions he will inflict on the nation in a pivotal election year in 2024. ~Stephen Collinson

With that kind of behavior is it any wonder that you and I had differences of opinion on what his supporters, that he influenced, did on Jan 6 as he watched all this, like a puff adder, smugly smiling, in the comfort of a room viewing the violence? At best let’s be prepared to use anti-venom to survive such blow hard reactions from accidental steps in his direction….
