That's nice Steve. I would include not just anything- because there are so many somethings to be a part of, some of which are shallow and hateful begging our participation. Then there's the worlds drama, which seems contrary to ones aspirations for peace on earth.

There's also the recognition that we welcome others whom we may not agree with. Or that we are sometimes born into family dynamics with personalities so different from ours.

I have come to realize we are not always able to help others nor should we. Sometimes opening ourselves up to others means suffering emotional abuse and condemnation/vilification. It can get to the point where we lack the energy to appropriately navigate such drama making misery. 

A part of the spiritual journey is recognizing that we don't have it all figured out, and will go down our respective paths. I hope in the process I am able to let go of petty behaviors perpetuated by those who feel the need to punish me emotionally in order to validate the reality in their head. Behaviors like blame and holding grudges. Not taking accountability and thinking they are the victim of a situation they have created. Maybe you feel you've been through similar? I have to ask my self though what have I done to get to said point- because no one person is entirely to blame. And then I have to focus on the only thing I can control... My self. The life long spiritual journey... Self Mastery.

But it is true... What keeps me going is the idea that I can be a part of something... That something though is actually the pursuit of an Ideal in growing partnership with God. We won't always do a good job. And people we truly care about will challenge us. Sometimes we will have to separate ways in order to regather our strengths(all parties involved). But then something brings us back... It's that desire to be better, to exemplify the desired qualities. To share Love. It isn't just anything- it's something Divine that we seek and know is possible. Maybe we've even experienced it here or there.

The spiritual portal is a community that I think welcomes freedom of expression and the sincere pursuit of ones personal belief. Despite our differences, we all have this respect in common.
