You should learn to be magnetic. In developing the power of attraction lies the germ of a successful existence. While it is true that few people are noticeably magnetic, nevertheless everyone possesses  within him latent magnetism, which is the attractive power by which you draw on to yourself both material possessions and human relationships: the right husband, the right wife, the right friends, the right business and so on. Naturally, if your magnetism is not the right kind you will draw the wrong people and the wrong things. You should learn to develop that finer quality of magnetism by which you can draw to yourself whatever it is for your good. The sun‘s rays when concentrated by a lens to find point,  produce heat of such intensity that it will ignite wood, cloth or paper similarly the mind when concentrated by scientific methods, will burn up the veil of doubt, the cause of all failures, and  it will cause the light of discrimination to shine.  The  conscious mind cannot initiate a new cause that will bring positive success in any direction; but, when the human mind communes with God and becomes God-conscious mind, it can be sure of success, owing to the unlimited power of God that creates new causes of success.

Paramahansa Yogananda explains how the direction of magnetism is changed by Kriya Meditation Practice.
Although this is true of meditation in general also.

In man where the life energy flows, there the consciousness follows. The life current flowing downward from the brain carries the mind to the senses and to identify with the physical body and the domain of entangling matter.  By  the outward flow of prana to the senses of touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell, they exert a magnetism of attachment to matter that habitually draws the consciousness outward, keeping one immersed in material consciousness and material desires. But through practice of the Kriya technique, the magnetism of sensory objects is over come by the building up of a stronger magnet in spine.

I find the magnetic rays of people who come in my sphere of existence exert various power over me through the years. It is a fascinating phenomenon. I’ve been inextricably drawn to people and places for good bad and a combination of both in some cases. Now I am much more aware of the influence and draw of other people and places that come in my life. That awareness makes me notice what affect it has on my body, mind and spirit. What is happening to me in the process and what good 😌 I may be to others around me, or perhaps at times I may be only enabling their behavior that is not conducive to their evolving consciousness.

Yogis have known from time and immemorial that the flow of life force in the body can be consciously directed by use of the body’s natural magnets, the two hands and 2 feet, the eyes, the tongue, and the uvula -  all the body parts to come in pairs - are positive and negative magnetic poles and conduct tremendous power when energized by a strong and concentrated will. By applying this knowledge, Jesus and other masters performed many miraculous healings through the life force (prana) transferred to the sick by “laying on of hands” sending energy outward, through the hands 🙌 whether at a distance or in proximity.
