It is amazing 🤩 how so many of our preconceived notions of food and reality in general need constant revisions and alternations as this life reveals more and more of its secrets to us daily through friends and ‘foes’.

Yes, black pepper used to have a bad rep here as well, I wonder why, actually cayenne pepper can be far more irritating than black pepper to the stomach. Of course, we talk in moderation, but I remember occasionally I have been nibbling pepper grains in nontrivial amounts.

All spices seem to be good, having some specific beneficial molecules. Turmeric seems to have so many beneficial effects that it is hard to count them.
