Introspection

Introspection seems good for ourselves but are the observations we have for ourselves also helpful to others? I take a sigh here and realize they are not always welcome. Many times they are taken as a critical outlook and cold. Quite often it may be our observations should be kept for ourselves and not for others.

We may have insights in the behavioral patterns of others but they will not be received positively but rather looked at as an affront. This is another insight into myself. How do I take the criticism that my own insights about others may be received as cold and unfeeling? It makes me feel that I am not meant to play the role of a psychologist but rather as a friend. Because in truth many if not most times people do not come to us to hear a true view from us but rather just to be comforted in their own misery and deceptions. They may see it quite differently— that we are the ones deceived in our observation of their behavior.
