Ginger is one of my absolute favorites. My mother said while she was pregnant with me she had a profound craving for ginger, like all the time. She didn't tell me this until years later when we were at a Japanese restaurant and I continually requested pickled ginger- heaps of it.

Even the waiters/waitresses know me as the guy that orders extra ginger. It's like the free-loader going to a restaurant and stocking up on bread and water.
