Recently I have gotten somewhat interested in foraging. Perhaps it is because I did so much gardening this summer. But although we are in quite a plentiful and fortunate state now there have been historical times when people had to resort to such means to survive and avoid starvation.

I hope you don't mean dumpster diving. What do you mean?
