Feathers have many different meanings, but they have always been associated with freedom, transcendence and communication with spiritual realms.
Finding a feather can be an uplifting, spiritual experience, especially when you find one in an unexpected place such as in your house or in your purse, where there isn't an easy way to explain its presence.
Any feather can be a sign, but the meaning of finding a feather in an unusual place or having one suddenly float across your path can especially seem to be a sign from the angels or from a loved one who has passed to the other side.
Have you ever heard the phrase, "Feathers appear when Angels are near?"
Let's address the bigger question.
Why be so subtle? Why not just have an angel appear and deliver a message in person? Why make it mysterious and therefore up for debate?
If you want to send a message with this kind of seemingly importance, why take the chance that it might be misconstrued?
As we can plainly see, there are more than 1 possible explanations which might cause one to mistake the true meaning.
Oh I can see the argument coming that if you were in tune with God the meaning would be unmistakable. But if you weren't in tune, then there would be no reason for this to happen in the first place since it would be known the meaning would go unrecognized.
But God knows all this. Again, why be subtle?
Only thing I can think of brings me back to God needs to be careful and not do something that might compel you to believe, otherwise you just become a puppet on strings.
