Many people say they have not had psychic or spiritual experiences others have conveyed here at the portal. My response is this; When preparation meets opportunity you will have them! In practice this translates to surrounding yourself with others who have had such experiences. Reading about and practicing meditation is a sure way of eventually having such experiences.

It first requires a flexible mind and receptivity. Without these ingredients it is difficult to experience anything beyond the mundane affairs of this life. If you have the added ingredient of some faith it will help immensely. However even a strong curiosity and the need to find the truth can go a long ways. Personally a need to get out of despair was a strong draw for me. And I had this interest in meditation as a teenager. I believe it is a carry over from other lives- but that is a different subject. Getting back to ‘experiences’ … I was helped a lot by meeting people who I first read about and then met in person. These people had many unusual psychic and spiritual experiences. I could have pooh-poohed them but I wanted to get to the truth of whether they were fake or real. Eventually I found out that many of them were real and in various ways they proved it to me when I chose to seek them out and being close to them and around them in person I was exposed to their psychic and spiritual abilities. Also by supporting them and volunteering my services. Later by the law of association and much spiritual practice and daily meditation… I began having psychic and spiritual experiences of my own.
If we have an opportunity for something we may not recognize it without the preparation to become receptive. And if we are receptive but nevertheless have no preparation, we may not be able to experience what others who have had psychic and spiritual experiences experience; even though we may cognize the possibility of such experiences. Assimilate what I have just conveyed and I think it will have a lasting impression because these ponderings have made a quantum leap in my own true to life experiences.
To your statement “no guarantees pally” my reply;
It's the possibility that keeps me going, not the guarantee. Small insights and experiences along the way strengthen our faith and our resolve to continue in our search.
