Finding other’s interested in Enlightenment

In relationships we all have our personal views. There comes a point where two people may have different views and must either respect those different views or resort to persuasion or manipulation to address the challenges. Or we may find that it is better to distance ourselves or cut ties to resolve the challenges. I have found that we may not even clearly understand the views or the behavioral patterns of others and therefore misinterpret their intentions. Meditation helps in feeling the views and the reactions people have to us. Yet until we are enlightened we will always have blind spots that prevent us from knowing our affect on others and how our attitudes and behaviors affect those we come in contact with.

It’s also true that people who do seek enlightenment find themselves alone most their lives. It is because not many people are interested but are rather engulfed by worldly responsibilities and seeking worldly pleasures. It is usually best to let others find their way to such a lifestyle. Encouraging others who are not interested usually does not end in the desired result anyhow. Persuasion and manipulation are not usually effective in social interaction.

That is why this has been said about seeking God and enlightenment; Out of thousand people; one seeks me. Out of thousand who seek me…. One knows me.
