Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

Even aimless living might serve a greater purpose. By no means is this post meant to refute the wisdom from Paramahansa Yogananda, I find your actions and his a noble effort.
I am simply sharing, that spirituality is not always a pretty thing- sometimes the forces that challenge us or pull us away from satisfying this idea of a spiritual led life in fact lead us to the same realization.

Sometimes you have an opportunity to satisfy a desire, sometimes not- all the meanwhile the opportunity for realization is ever present. What is unfortunate in my mind, is one who cuts ties to their family and feels a regret at the end of their life.

Regret and opportunity, both forces, always available.

Yes it just depends on how much time we want to waste. Instead of seeing it as ‘cutting ties to the family’ look at it as losing the spiritual blessing that could have been had by refocusing your attention to spiritual ties that your life has been blessed by. With this attitude it can be seen as missed opportunities by keeping ourselves cemented in old bonds that have long outlived their stringent purpose.

Many times in our lives we can look back and see that we did not seize upon the spiritual opportunities available to us or somehow we rationalize that they do not serve our interests or the calling they represent because of our own spiritual inertia for change. As I look back I clearly see that the blessings surrounding me were tremendous. I did take advantage of them>>>However not to the extent I could have <<< had I known then what I know now about the people placed in my life I would have spent much more time with them.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-———

Remember you are here for just a little while and at any moments notice you might have to leave the earth and all your duties here. Let no family resistance, national prejudices, or satanic criticism of anyone, sway you from following the path that will free you forever. A wrong choice to heed such naysayers might make you lose the great fulfillment you could have, whereas the right choice of continually following this path will bring bliss and benefit unending, throughout eternity.

~Paramahansa Yogananda
