Since you put in a rather nostalgic video here I decided to read on about this phenomena you are chatting about. I found this description rather impartial;

https://www.dictionary.com/e/pop-culture/cancel-culture/#:~:text=Cancel%20culture%20refers%20to%20the%20popular%20practice%20of,social%20media%20in%20the%20form%20of%20group%20shaming.

It is a rather novel idea to me and see the correlation and reasons you brought this topic to our awareness. I’m sure refers to some qualities that I imbue. At the time of reading this I have rather mixed feelings about it. I can read things like the news of Micheal Jackson when he was alive. I remember thinking what a genius he was and couldn’t really be too critical about what was being said about him. I knew people in California who told me some wonderful things about him. Then I think of John Lennon and all the bad things that were said about him. Quite a bit because he made an offensive observation; that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus at the time. He was probably right but somethings are just in bad taste.... as for instance Donald Trumps continuous character defamation directed at anyone who disagrees with him.

How much should people be accountable for their actions and speech? Good question. I find myself asking how much should I be accountable for my actions and speech. Sometimes these outer plays we see with other people give us a long pause to think over just how much we ourselves are canceled out in the views and accusations of others. This has been a serious issue in my own life. I often wonder if I make it that way though because others around me feel I should be cancelled out. It is an energy that does play out both ways. Not one. That is ... if it can be seen in others it also can be directed at and seen in ourselves. I suppose that just bringing that element of awareness to us by you and others is to help us in our awareness of what energies we bring into our personal lives.

I find that at various times in our lives we find ourselves in social realities that are so skewed by others that we find it necessary to curb our social encounters with certain people places and groups. This applies to spiritual organizations, friends and strangers. Often I have seen it as a divine intercession to move us in a different direction and locality even though it is true that we can never really ever escape the lessons that reoccur in other guises and we should recognize it is part of the equation.
