The last chance is over my friend. First and foremost I find it an irony that you would use a misleading terminology like ‘Cancel Culture’ to describe something that never existed in the first place.... since the United Clones has never had a culture of its own; unless you want to call business monopoly and strip malls with monotonous clone like regularity (between one town and the next) in this country as our culture. A country that destroyed the culture of indigenous survivors.
Climate change is on us full throttle and still we have an elected official and appointees supporting an antiquated approach to the human imprint on climate change. People set in their ways will not accept the reality of what is facing us today. Even if open discussion takes place. There is a huge segment of our population that will continue to ignore science-just like they did refusing to face the facts that the earth rotated around the Sun. There are still many people today who believe the earth is flat.
Eric it is just like the choir having a discussion among themselves. It is just in their DNA. People that have the inability to see beyond their own views. Have you spent years at college? I have. We spent many many times with open discussions on subjects facing our world and humanity. Usually the younger college students are supporting a more progressive outlook towards issues facing our society today. Why? Because they are more educated and searching for answers that can be validated by facts, science and experience rather than prejudice and Ill informed narrow minded views of world scenarios.
What boggles my mind is that you wanted to get away from all this political talk but here you are now supporting such conversations and glorifying the need for them. I also have noted your constant thoughts about big tech companies and vilifying their use of news and information. I think you should follow this link to see a quite different view:

http://a.msn.com/01/en-us/BB18WvwG?ocid=se“We’re in the midst of a climate crisis,” Newsom said. “We are experiencing weather conditions, the likes of which we have never experienced in our lifetime. We are experiencing what so many people predicted decades and decades ago — but all of that now is reality.”
Climate change has led to drought and hotter weather that has left the state’s forests parched and dry — and easy to ignite. Combined, the fires that have raged across the state this year have burned more than 3 million acres — an area 26 times larger than what burned this time last year. They’ve also been blamed for 19 deaths and the destruction of nearly 4,000 buildings.
“I’m a little bit exhausted that we have to continue to debate this issue. This a climate damn emergency. This is real and it’s happening,” Newsom said during a visit to the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area, where he surveyed damage from the North Complex fires.

Eric
I am curious to see just how long you will be able to tolerate the open dialogue you promote here before taking another needed break from the ‘politics’ of the conversation as you have expressed previously.
A Myth or True?
We all believe in our own myths.
Someday though when one of us is away
we will not be sure if hearing me or hearing you
is a myth or true
so that’s what keeps us kind
while living here today
with you.
