What i have noticed is that each of the paths seem to have a certain vibration about them. i would say you are correct about this calmness and serenity you are talking about. However there is a flip side to the coin. Sometimes i sense a coldness and aloofness. It seems to me that every path has its' share of dualities inherent in the search.

Steve, I would be interested in hearing more, about what you mean when you say " each of the paths seem to have a certain vibration about them " ....can you feel this ?
I too notice a coldness, in certain churches, temples and an aloofness surrounding those who are within. Perhaps each is so into their devotion, that they are not aware of the presence of others. Is this what you mean, by sensing "a coldness and aloofness "?
When I am in devotional mood, that is my focus. This coldness in the churches and temples is what brings me to choose nature surroundings, when possible.

You have opened up a discussion that involves quite a lot of responses. Let me respond to one. Perhaps someone else will respond to the others. i think there is a time for nature and a time for the inspiration of high souls in churches and temples. Where there are people there are bound to be problems and where ever there is nature there are bound to be problems. (just try to avoid mosquitos while meditating)
