Hi Steve!
Due to some circumstances I have taken kriya diksha from two source.
One is from gurudev Amarnath Tiwari of Lahiri mahasaya sangh and one from YSS(SRF).
The technique I told you is kriya lesson learnt from gurudev Amarnath Tiwari.
The similar technique is discussed in lesson between 100-150(I don't remember clearly)
by gurudev Yoganandji.
