thanks steve, do you know why the moon is often associated with ones past?
what do you think about the moon allowing for a type of foresight, dreaming of future events or being shown the thoughts of others(like an unexpressed opinion or judgement to any particular involvement)?
The question of why seems to always confounded human beings and has generally been left to philosophers and enlightened humans. For instance why are we here. You can say; ‘ oh we are here to attain enlightenment or to work out our karma. ‘ but then why not just skip the step and ask well why did that happen? I mean who decided we should work out anything and why did they make such a decision? And why should they have the right to decide such things? Sometimes to find out the answer to why we may ask the opposing question to help us find ourselves and the answers. That question is why not? I mean why not have each planet have a separate meaning and expression? And, why not put us here and have us work on our karma and become enlightened beings? What would be the alternative? Perhaps those alternatives themselves also exist in some other way or dimension. The possibilities like the universe themselves are unlimited.
So when we look at anything we can ask the question why. But the answers often lead to more questions and ultimately the ultimate why. The why of existence itself. So instead we observe the behavior or function of objects and living things and see how they affect us and those around us.
The Moon has been observed as a reflection of spirit or the Sun. It has no atmosphere of its own and therefore meteors and conditions outside it affect it tremendously. In fact steps on the moon by astronauts still remain today so the moon is impressionable. In fact the impressions of the past affect it greatly and so it remains a repository of the past in our life and in distant lives. It’s shape changes as it ever moves through the sky, changing its relationship between the Sun and earth. The soul of each individual is also constantly changing due to the different levels of understanding which it has of spirit.
The Moon, then, constantly changes in its relationship to the sun and earth, just as a soul of each individual constantly changes in relationship to the spirit. Therefore, the moon and he is indicative of the souls condition as it enters this lifetime. ( by the natal chart ) and the potential growth periods it will become confronted with during the course of this lifetime (by the progressed chart). Therefore the Moon is said to have the qualities and memories of the soul or past of each being.
Because the moon is associated with the nite when it is most observable at nite it also reflects the subconscious or sleep state and dreaming as well as the psychic impressions relating to dreams. Because all memories of the past are stored deep in our unconscious at times we may tune in to such occurances when dreaming.
Because the Moon has no atmosphere of its own it is easy for it to pick up psychic impressions. It is not influenced as much by the ego or Suns energy that shines its own lite and consciousness on everything thus often casting a shadow of its own identity on everything. Although the Moon is also changeable and fickle because it goes through a lunar cycle that constantly changes its reflection of outside stimulation. Thus we to are affected by changing emotional states as symbolized by the Moon so we must be cautious of the impressions we pick up as they go thru changes daily. One could say the more enduring impressions of the psychic planet Neptune - at its most evolved condition - are more reliable.
As you no doubt know there are many events and people that come into our lives that we do not have definitive answers to, we often experience their energies and the energies and psychic impressions we pick up from them to guide us in our direction and choices involving them. At times in our lives we have sudden intuitive flashes or gestalts that are more of the nature of the planet Uranus. When this happens we have more of a solid insight of what steps to take and how to approach and respond to outside people and events. But for the most part many times in our lives we must make decisions based on experience and energies that come to play in our life not knowing for sure what the results will bring us.
