Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: Jan 07, 2021 11:01 am »

A great message, underscoring the reality of the soul's journey towards God.  Maybe part of my trouble is that I like it here quite a bit, or maybe my soul is just not ready for the transition to the higher plane.  But I know I love those moments when I feel most in God's presence, most in-tune with the vibrations of love and praise for Love.  That's what draws me to meditation ~

It is an interesting pull of destiny that appears to bring together friends from past incarnations and their paths cross not once but several times in life. It is also an edifying experience to know something higher intervenes in our lives.

Many things that happen in life are not a matter of like or dislike to me. It’s more of a matter of not being exposed enough to the experiences of Gods presence as you have mentioned here. The discipline of meditation does not give instant gratification as we often seek as human beings. Over time though I have recognized having a proclivity to remain at this level of evolution ( the material dimension our 5 senses experience) on the earth plane has many ups and downs and there is a certain repetition of these cycles that becomes tiresome and sometimes quite painful and depressing. As a kid I enjoyed Magic Mountain and roller coasters but as an adult I grew weary of these up and down swings.

Joy; I think your view of “liking it here, quite a bit”, is a step up from my mindset .... which is that I desire it quite a bit here and would like to experience things other people have that I have not>>> A sort of envy u might call it. <<<  I believe that what you are sharing is an aspiration we should all attain towards. That is to like it here and enjoy the show that is being presented to us. The challenge being; not getting attached to parts of the movie. Getting too much enjoyment out of it is what brings us back here to experience it over and over. What’s wrong with too much enjoyment?  Experiencing the thrill eventually becomes an endless monotonous ride which brings a longing for something higher. ..to have the ability to just enjoy the ride without getting hung up on part of the scenery along the way.

It is not us but God experiencing thru us. Seems like a trivial change of words. But if during meditation if/when you have experienced moments of bliss and then suddenly think to yourself>>>Wow what am I experiencing? <<< Then the experience leaves you it makes much more sense. Because it is ‘ normal ‘ to ‘think’ of experiences as ours... and more super normal to think of our experiences as being from God and God experiencing through us. That endless monotonous ride with the lows being just as much part of it as the highs brings a longing for something that transcends the ups and downs.
