good morning

no, i haven't watched much tv lately. it's okay what your friend thinks, she's right, ultimately our experiences are our own- between us and god. yogananda tells us we aren't these bodies, or minds and similarly we aren't our dreams. i think.
some days it's easy for me to see the workings of the mind and understand those subconscious motifs, other days i don't care to give much thought of it and push it aside.
some dreams leave me with more, like having met anandamayi ma.
or my three vivid dreams i had in 2008 that lead me to this forum. as well as the word sufi, which i had not heard before anywhere.
people can chalk up our experiences for us because it's what makes sense to them- i don't feel the need to correct them or oblige them. there's plenty who disagree with us, why be bothered? i like to record my dreams here because it helps me recall and experience lucid dreaming.
between my dreams, sleep paralysis and out of body experiences, i don't share with everyone despite posting them here- because some things are too special to share with someone who would turn my pearls into pebbles. for example- the orb descending down into my body after meditation. to me, that experience is a miracle.
however, i've lately been privileged to be around receptive friends who encourage my spiritual practices and are open to delving into things further without belittling my experience. no doubt what your friend says is true, but that doesn't mean there can't be more.

have a great day!
