Zecharia Sitchin (July 11, 1920 – October 9, 2010)[1] was an author of books proposing an explanation for human origins involving ancient astronauts. Sitchin attributed the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Anunnaki, which he stated was a race of extraterrestrials from a planet beyond Neptune called Nibiru. He asserted that Sumerian mythology suggests that this hypothetical planet of Nibiru is in an elongated, 3,600-year-long elliptical orbit around the sun. Sitchin's books have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 25 languages.

In this and subsequent books, Sitchin presented his translations of ancient Sumerian texts which tell an incredible story regarding the origins of mankind on Earth, stories that are completely different to those that most of us learned in school.

According to the ancient cuneiform texts, which are believed to be some of the oldest writings known to date, go back at least 6,000 years. These writings explain the history of a race of beings called the Anunnaki. The Anunnaki came to Earth from a planet in our solar system which is called Nibiru. Sadly, many people have never heard of it, because according to mainstream science the planet called Nibiru does not exist. However, according to Sitchin, the presence of Nibiru is very important for the past and future of humanity.


The orbit of Nibiru around the sun is believed to be extremely elliptical, and according to text, it is located far beyond the orbit of Pluto. It is believed that the elusive planet takes around 3600 years to complete one orbit around the Sun. Nibiru is believed to be the home planet of the Anunnaki.

Astronomers today suggest that there is in fact a planet called Planet X, located beyond the orbit of Pluto, a planet that explains the anomalies in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus, the New York times even talked about in 1982:

Some gravitational force keeps perturbing the two giant planets, causing irregularities in their orbits. In his 1976 book The Twelfth Planet, Russian-American author Zecharia Sitchin claimed that the Anunnaki were actually a race of extraterrestrial beings from the undiscovered planet Nibiru, who came to Earth around 500,000 years ago in order to mine gold.

According to Sitchin, the Anunnaki genetically engineered homo erectus to create modern humans to work as their slaves. Sitchin claimed that the Anunnaki were forced to leave Earth when Antarctic glaciers melted, causing the Flood of Noah, which also destroyed the Anunnaki’s bases on Earth. These had to be rebuilt and the Nephilim, needing more humans to help in this massive effort, taught them agriculture.

Ronald H. Fritze writes that, according to Sitchin, “the Annunaki built the pyramids and all the other monumental structures from around the world that ancient astronaut theorists consider so impossible to build without highly advanced technologies.“Sitchin also claimed that the Anunnaki had left behind human-alien hybrids, some of whom may still be alive today, unaware of their alien ancestry. Sitchin expanded on this mythology in later works, including The Stairway to Heaven (1980) and The Wars of Gods and Men (1985). In The End of Days: Armageddon and the Prophecy of the Return (2007), Sitchin predicted that the Anunnaki would return to earth, possibly as soon as 2012, corresponding to the end of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar.

The Nephilim are "mighty men" described in the Old Testament as incredibly large and physically strong. They are the children of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of man." Nephilim is translated as giants in some versions of the Hebrew Bible but left untranslated in others.

Steve, I'm afraid that a photo like that constitutes no evidence at all. It might have been done with the old Photoshop software, kids can do it with modern AIs.

Even Videos, alas,  are no more of any evidence. They carry no degree of reliability at all. Nowadays, AI programs can build up any image, any video you wish., It's enough to give instructions and reiterate until you obtain what you wish.

If that is true, why read anything? We are living in a land of make believe anyhow. All information is suspect. I myself may be your fantasy. Not real. Just a fiction of your imagination. Sounds like a story in wonderland.

I think if you watched a whole season of ‘Ancient Aliens’ you may have a different perspective mccoy. Top experts are brought in and interviewed and the exploration of such wonders are delved into all over the world. There is a lot of consensus about such phenomena.

Scientists often have a predisposition of skepticism which interferes with their perspective to the extent that they will believe nothing but what their own senses can validate and replicate. Even then if it interferes with their preconceptions of how reality functions and how mainstream science sees a world view it is very difficult for them to see beyond such habitual ways of thinking.

Steve, sorry for being a party-pooper and perhaps my reasoning is biased, but why so many people affirming to having seen aliens and rests of aliens, for decades, but no Alien is really showing up?

Maybe there is a reason for that, maybe it's all a hoax, I chose to apply a healthy dose of skepticism until irrefutable proof is provided.


But you cannot seriosuly say that a picture from somewhere proves anything. We can just choose or not to make that leap of faith and believe that it is a proof. We have a legitimate right to believe anything, yet to prove something is a totally different issue.
