I guess if someone is causing you trouble, doesn't mean it is automatically a sign of bad karma. But if this is someone who knows you, or someone who keeps returning to your life...it may be unresolved issue between two that is playing itself out. I believe we are all children of God, and we all have the right to protect ourselves, yet the same law of love comes into the picture. It can be one of our greatest tests to show love to those we feel are enemies. I guess if we are not up to the task of being able to love our enemies, we need to ask God to love them for us.
Yes with many people we have mixed karma. It can not be so easily classified as bad or good. If we really know that someone can be treacherous or is a drain on us it is much easier to let them go. Life is full of unresolved situations that is why we are here... to understand them and learn from them.
'Enemies' is quite a strong word. If we really feel this way about someone we can distance ourselves from them. i personally do not have any enemies in my life. But i do believe that some people do not mean me any good so i choose to stay as far as i can from them until their attitude is quite different. Fortunately there are many kind people in my life so i do not have to continually be around those who are not. i hope your life is the same Starling.
