I'm a big fan of playing with photoshop... have about a year now of focusing-on-it steadily.  I have my own pictures
I've taken and enjoy working with, but I'm also a member of a couple of other forums that has an editing section as
one of their options.

Below are a couple of the compilations that I've come up, most are a combination of several images... Photoshop is
quite cool once you get the hang of it... you can pretty much create whatever you can dream of.

And these are some photos that I've taken and edited myself.

This first one is of a huge school of Anchovies, taken a couple of weeks ago off the
Washington State coast:

This next one is a Panorama taken last winter near the norther boarder of Washington state and Idaho:

And this last one I took a couple of days ago in our new backyard on the Western side of Washington State.
It's at the house that I'm currently renovating and writing from, but I'll likely go into more of that later.   :^)

Awesome photos Stephen, especially the flower one at the house you are renovating ! It is amazing what photoshop can do with pictures, like taking painting beyond the imagination. Someday I would like to learn something about using photoshop, so many things to learn there just don't seem to be enough hours in a day/ or night ! Right now I am having a creative spurt and the ideas are just flowing, almost overwhelming at times, but this is all good.

I also like the first picture with the sail boat, and of course the moonlight one on the coast, with the northern lights. One could write a poem , a song, or a story using that picture as a starting point .

 Thank you Into Blue  ((hugs))

Should you want to learn photoshop let me know...but be forewarned, it's one heck of an undertaking at first... what you're seeing here
is the tale-end of a full intensive year+ of focused dedication... and I'm still just a babe in the woods   :^)

...and I figured you would like the one with the northern lights!  I remembered your enjoyment of these mysticical
shimmering of lights from forums past...    :^)

Thank you for your offer to teach me Stephen. If you are just a " babe in the woods " with your knowledge, (so humble you are) I am one who would be considered " lost in the woods " lol !!

I knew you were thinking of me, when you posted that northern lights picture, thank you ! ((((hugs ))))

I would be happy to keep it open Steve.... I love this stuff!  I'll probably be adding to this
thread often as time progresses.   There is now end as to what can be done when unleased
on images in this way!   Here's a couple more play images that I've enjoyed putting together.

I'll start posting some of what went into each to help give perspective as to their starting points...  :^)

Here's what went into the one really sweet picture of the child above:

Here's another that I did recently that was fun:

Thank you Comet!!  And I'm happy to see you here in this forum!!  It's a little
quieter than SF but I'm enjoying the relative solitude.   One can be more themselves
and quietly relax in this type of cozy environment....!

I suspect we'll be now be crossing paths more often... I'm very glad for that...!   :^)

Stephen, I love the variety in your photos. In the water batch that first picture looks like the fish are flying thru the air ! Adorable water merbaby , look at that grin, those eyes and even bubbles from the nose. And that ship, a ship of dreams, with warning lights....something like pirates, Raiders of the Dream, comes to mind. Interesting phrase, could be the start of a poem or a story.

I really like the "Raiders of the Dream"  Into Blue! It sounds like it would be a good title for a spiritually centered
adventure film!   A young team of lucid dreamers embark on a mission to recapture the dreams of several lost souls who
have wondered to close to the overly rational mind-set....  the setting for the rescue could take place in a church with
lightning all about....   I think it would work....! :^)

I loved the merbaby picture as well, it's one of my favorites!
The bubbles were from what's called a "brush".  It's actually an image-stamp (black and white) that one colors as needed, and
the tail itself was from a picture of piece of pottery.  The space boat was a lot of fun to do... combined all sorts of stuff to make
that one!

You may remember this one below from my posting it on SF some time ago.  It's a early morning panorama, composed of 5 separate pictures
and then blended into one.  I've always loved this photo... and it was simple luck that had the kids there, and a rainbow in the
background.  This was one image that I didn't add anything to...    :^)

Excellent story line Stephen, I want an autographed copy of the book, when you finish it !

I would have never guessed the merbaby's tail was a piece of pottery !

Ohhhh I love that picture of the ocean ! Just awesome !!

Thank you Into Blue!!    :^)  Some of these you've already seen before but I'm re-posting them
to have them in this thread....

This was a picture of a horse that someone had posted on the photo forum and asked if it could
be fixed.  It occurred to me that on it's side it looked more like a desert... so I ran with that...  :^)
