Living as Sri Yukteswar preaches is very difficult, since sex is clearly the expression of the biological instinct of survival, second only to hunger. Maybe sex is stronger, since survival of the species is foremost to survival of the individual and when under compulsion, the thought of sex prevails over the thought of food.

I found that only by extreme means I was able to obtain full control, like very stoic dietary regime, very arduous workouts and so on
