Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: Aug 16, 2018 06:17 am »

Born in a world of duality and limited in nature, seems we're only capable of expressing partial Truth. No less true but not the entirety of or near comprehensible for many.

Yea I suppose we try to live our truth until we find it clashes with someone else’s...then we have to evaluate if indeed our truth is the complete truth or only a partial take on reality. Once we understand another persons reality our truth may change to incorporate an expanded view on realty. If nothing else we must live with the fact that others will have a different truth. If we want to have any type of conversation with them we will learn how to talk with people who see things differently. At some point we may find that the truth that others hold can be destructive in which case we may even have to fight them.

I used to meet people who would see me meditate and believed so much that their truth was correct that they felt they needed to tell me about it and how I was being led astray by demons. Sometimes I simply had to tell them that they were a nuisance and had actually disturbed my peace. But they also believed that it was a false peace....

Recently I spent time with a man who tod me about someone he talked with that completely monopolized the conversation and since he could not get a word in edgewise he asked the man if he knew he was not a very good listener.  So at some point there are those of us that live what we consider to be true is really and infringement on another person or many people and it may take a shaking to wake them or us out of such false perceptions we have of reality.....the hard knocks of life.

There are people who are faced with overwhelming evidence that their truth is based on false illusions but they may continue to hold on to these false illusions in the face of evidence to the contrary. We can see that at the top of government today. It can effect the lives of everyone they are involved with. This can be extremely dangerous. During the Roman Empire for instance the sport of watching people being ripped apart by lions was considered normal and truth to a whole culture. As it was considered a truth by Adolph Hitler to murder a whole race of people. When we have such ‘ truths’ existing in culture it is often part of our duty to fight them since they are not truth but rather the product of ego.

Today we see the results of ego in our president. This is not truth but rather the result of false pride and a desire to hold on to an out lived  and outworn past that does not apply to present circumstances. We all do this to some degree in our personal lives and must come to terms with the fact that we may be affecting others negatively by living out our truth. I have had to face this fact about myself at times in my life as well.
