Thru the repressive use of government right wing Trump supporters try to control people with a repressive judicial system and those appointed as we have seen as an example in the appointment of Sessions by Trump.
Quite often we have had great spiritual leaders as for example in Ram Das who started off in the drug culture it is nothing less then a hideous shame to make such people into felony criminals at an early age thru even worst criminals who presently run our government. At least in the case of Obama we have the example of record clemencies. Thus another advantage of a more liberal government for spiritual attainment.
