Early this morning I saw a beautiful midnight blue heron with gray spots alongside its back, and bright yellow legs. I disturbed his peace running through our neighborhood and he gracefully swooped around me and landed on someone's roof- easily settling back into a calm repose.
The hawk was just a few houses down resting, and the Spider I saw on the trails today was... GIGANTIC!!! Its web was at least 5t in width and it was suspended in a tree 7-10 feet apart- Right at eye level, and was the size of a thumb!
