one of my new poems... in progress...woke me up at 1 am coming out lol
THE SHATTERED GLASS
I awoke to the sound
of the shattered glass
being strewn all around
Having been gathered up
throughout all of time
and returned to me , once again
To be united as one
into the true me
shiny and bright as the beacon I AM
Tiny shards of my lives
forgotten and strewn
throughout time and space
Almost forgotten and lost
as my lives shattered
dropping piece after piece
In all of my lives I left a glass trail
I called all my lives
to return all the pieces back to me
In touching other lives
Over periods of time in each and everyone
I left a shard of glass of me
I felt a connection or bond
to every memory made
with each etch in the glass I made
Plus a tear or two still attached
like the blood I found on the edge
of a shard or two
The fractures are still there
in each crack and each line
a memory etched through a line of time
Of my yesterday lives
Of loves won and lost
of all my tomorrows to be
A few missing pieces lost for all time
did not make it back to me
along the sealed edges of all the goodbyes
All now gathered near
and returned here to me, from the all
through space and time
To once again make me whole
In this time and in this place
for me to find my beauty and grace
