Recently I have found that the body we inhabit is the source of infinite troubles. Yet we seek pleasure for it. The fact we have bodies is a manifestation of desire. It seems to me that our bodies are the source of all our troubles.

Amma says, "The body is like a bridge that connects us with our inner self. The human body is the temple of the indwelling God. Hence, purification of the body is very important.”

If the body is a bridge to connect us to our inner self, perhaps we should use it as much as we can to serve God’s work and meditate with it.
