thanks steve. i read recently that lowering the gaze means it is easier to fall into subconscious. another thing is that i would get some strain trying to focus between the brow but read a helpful tip, to see through the spot of the third eye- and to extend your arm out with your thumb up, placing it parallel to the spot between the brow. interestingly it was also advised one could stare through the medulla, which would be lower then the eyes... ? yogananda kept his gaze for christ consciousness
