Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: May 19, 2023 10:59 am »

I have found that there are some behavioral challenges that have been carried out over from many lifetimes, so we are not always able to extinguish their embers from being exposed and occasionally, or more being often, blown to sudden flames. With these type of addictions we can recognize, with faith, that the continued regular practice of meditation and a spiritual reinforcing techniques like Kriya yoga are transformative in creating a new you or me.

Fortunately a strong libido often lends itself to increased energy and exercise, that will sustain our health while we see the health of others falter as age sets in. And as the body does get older, there is a contrary feeling of sympathy with the energy provided by what at one time appeared to be perversive behaviors. So in a sense we should be grateful for all stages of our life, even though we recognize that uncontrolled hormonal changes were inevitably a bad outcome for spiritual realization. All our behavioral quirks are being worked on by a higher source to which we give thanks to grace we quite often see peeping through many of our encounters in life. If you are looking for a sudden change that will free you from all physical compulsions, I think it is wise to recognize that patience with not only others, but ourselves is part of life’s arduous task.

What happens internally, is that over the decades, more and more, we compare the life altering effects of experiences we have had in our spiritual encounters with other great souls and being around them - including friends that have been helpful instead of those who ultimately caused more worry and stress. We compare these experiences with our depravity, which lingers on and find we really want to have more experiences that contribute to our ultimate happiness and not those camouflaged by pleasure which eventually cause despair.

We also find that we are often, and more and more being called upon to be of service to others and not to serving our own desires. In this service though we gain the favor and proximity to more and more uplifting presences in our life that awaken our spirits calling. When we are encouraging others we in fact are really just encouraging our larger self as it expands to include others more and more into our lives. That expansive awareness and awakening is part of enlightenment that we are all attempting to achieve in this life or shortly thereafter.
