Had a chance to watch this. So my first thought immediately was, every religion or cult or whatever has stories from people who have left. Either to join another one, or just ditch the whole thing and form their own theories.
But my ongoing thought before I watched this, and keep in mind this is just what I think, is that these people were at least exposed to God in some way, some small seed was planted. Now it could be that for a particular spirit, this was the way needed to begin a process. Some people learn the easy way, some learn the hard way. Maybe due to past karma or who knows what. IMHO.
