Right, Steve.
Anyway, 'boring' may be is not the right term. boring is watching TV shows or TV news, which apparently are the same every day.
Boring is to see soccer events or many of other big bucks sportive events. Boring is to see or hear advertisement.
We cannot put meditation, even if without immediate results, at the same plane. I would rather engage for hours in a 'tedious' meditation rather than watch a soccer match or a TV show.
It literally amazes me that people will spend long hours on crossword puzzles card games on the computer playing other games on the computer and listen to baseball games daily. Little do they realize that they are literally wasting their time in long hours of spiritually useless activities. All these things will pass and when we leave into the next life all we will have to show for what we have done here is what we have given to others and our own spiritual realization to have the grace to go awakened while going to other realms or sleeping and dreaming... never awakening and then ending up here or somewhere similar again with a whole new set of 'attractions' to hold our interest and keep us occupied in more nonsense that create new desires that involve more sojourns here and in other terrestrial worlds where we must be drawn to fulfill more desires. So one eventually asks themselves; Should i spend long hours meditating or long hours in foolishness... creating new desires and boring stays here on earth and similar low energy planets at low times as well?
