"The deluded man, habitually compelled by the inner voice of the sense mind, sorrows about unaccomplished experiences of the past and is greedy for future satisfactions. In contrast, the advanced yogi, who has routed egoistic desires and inclinations from his mental castle and reestablished the wisdom rule of the soul, is impervious to past fears and future hopes.
The ordinary person is bound like a prisoner in a dungeon; his life experiences are narrowly confined to the dismal realm of the senses. The advanced yogi, on the other hand, is so overwhelmed by having contacted the Surprise of all surprises- the ever new bliss of God- that he becomes indifferent to all thoughts of sense pleasures. His mind is no longer disturbed either by memories of past sense joys or by daydreams for the future. He is conscious only of glorious Omnipresence and Its everlasting joy."

...."The devotee who has known both sense inclinations and the soul bliss possess a standard of comparison that is nonexistent for the worldly man."

With my recent experience I am left longing but see no satisfactory result in pursuing this sensation. As well, this longing is nothing more than a familiar territory which the untrained mind will walk down time and time again. Should my desire be granted, I wouldn't know what to do- though it is unfulfilled, there is no satisfactory solution with experiencing a one-sided sensation of longing or fulfilling a desire in which the means of fulfillment are not capable of being produced even visually speaking. Am I choosing to experience the illusion? So, I must force my mind to cease and desist and walk down a new path which is the Eternal Now.
The surprise of all surprises for me is granted when I am acknowledging each person as if God approaches me, and in my Silent Appreciation, I am engrossed in beautiful sensations that halt my living in the past or worry of the future. What's more, can I sit in stillness and create this appreciation for all that is Present around me- perhaps then I am free.
Though Life test me and prove I am indeed a baby perhaps equally important is to accept this little self as a part of the God experience, His desire... Though I hope to welcome Death prior to this vehicles expiration.
