Saturn transits the 7th house:

When Saturn transits your house of one-on-one relationships, you take a more serious approach to relationships.  Relationships begun under this influence are generally heavy and serious, and the partner may be older or there are appreciable age differences.. Break-ups often occur during this time (especially when Saturn conjuncts the Descendant), because Saturn forces you to take a good, hard look at your relationships to see what is working, and what is not. This transit can also indicate increased loneliness if you are not partnered up. It is good in the sense that you will mature emotionally and be more responsible about your relationship needs.

You may have been staying in an unhappy relationship out of convenience; however, now the status quo cannot be maintained. For this reason, many relationships end because they demand more attention and effort than both partners believe the relationship is worth. This is why transiting Saturn in the seventh house is often a time when marriages may break up and end in divorce.

Healthy relationships can be the outcome of the time ahead. Relationships of all sorts are looked at more responsibly. The needs of others are more closely examined. Commitments of all sorts become more of a concern.

Wow, this has been posted here since Nov/Dec?  I am so sorry,  did not know - would have thanked you for taking the time.  So, thank you!  November and December were/are a bit of a blur.  The past four months, really, but there is light in sight.
