I agree with you.

But (always a but), there are some people who follow the Bible, and I don't think they are all going down the wrong road. Sure some of them are, but so are some people who follow other teachings as well.

I'm not so sure I would blame it on a book, rather, the way each one of us is allowed to perceive it.

Curiously, I have been listening to a Calvary Church pastor in the morning as I drive to work (well there's no Yogananda stations on so what can I do), and he's been going thru book of Genesis for quite some time now, chapter by chapter. I don't know the book that well, but I have learned some things while listening, and, he's quite good at trying to give meaning to Genesis. He has on occasion dissed Hinduism (which is not PY teaching IMO), and he sounded like he just didn't know enough about it to comment. But he does have very good points. Sure there are some real flakes out there, but I'm not sure they can all be categorized as a group.

I feel the same way about things I just don't understand. But maybe we should not question the way God does what He does, because I think you will create problems for yourself if you try too hard to do that.
